I'm enjoying mine ... added garlic cloves to the pickles sitting in my barrel. Lots of comments and pickle tasters ... love the quality!!!
It is as you would expect. It is a well made little barrel. They season the inside of the barrel but it is a great item. Of course I tried making pickles in it (using the recipe they provide) and it works well. Only problem I encountered is the lid swelled up. I went to check on the pickles and had to use a screwdriver to open it. Once it was opened I couldn't completely close it. The lid does have an extra seal around the lip so I was able to "seal" it back up.
Once I am done with the pickles I will clean it out and let it dry out for a few days. Should fit together fine (or at least give it a touch of character).
But it is a nice little barrel.
Talk about a conversation piece, especially with the name of our farm engraved on the side!
